Yul Edochie has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to provide economic relief for Nigerians saying ‘people are hungry, locked down with no money.’
In a tweet on his personal handle, @YulEdochie, the Nollywood star cum politician, appealed to the President to come to the aid of Nigerians even if it was just as low as N50,000 (fifty thousand naira) each.
He explained further that the relief fund will help cushion the effects of the coronavirus stay-at-home order issued by the country’s President.
President Buhari had ordered a complete lockdown of three states in the country over the escalating increase of coronavirus cases.
“Dear President @MBuhari. Pls provide an economic relief package for Nigerians, even if it’s 50k each, it will go a long way. People are hungry, locked down with no money, begging left, right & centre. With the situation like this, it’ll be difficult to keep people at home,” the Anambra State-born actor said.
