AMVCA 2020: All is set for the 7th Chapter

All is now set for the 7th chapter of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2020, the esteemed honours ceremony for film and TV talent across the African continent.

The much-anticipated award which is hosted by Africa Magic in association with Multichoice is slated for the 7th of March 2020.

The event organisers had called for entry into the seventh edition of the prestigious AMVCA 2020 award ceremony inviting filmmakers to send in their works between November 13, 2019, and December 13, 2019, which is now closed.

Created to celebrate the success of the continent’s film and television industry contribution of African actors, technicians and filmmakers, the AMVCA inaugural ceremony held in Lagos, Nigeria and was broadcast live in more than 50 countries.

With the successes of the six editions, arrangements are now in top gear for the seventh edition which will feature all films, made-for-television movies or television series as long as they are broadcast or publicly screened during the period of 1 April 2018 to 30 November 2019.

Africa Magic Channel DirectorWangi Mba-Uzoukwu explained that all is set for the AMVCA 2020 which is the 7th edition of the event: “It’s been a long wait, but we are pleased to finally announce that the seventh edition of the AMVCAs is here and set to once again celebrate film and television talent across Africa.

“Every year the industry continues to grow in leaps and bounds and we are proud to be a part of its success story through the AMVCAs. The AMVCAs remain Africa’s most prestigious awards and most reputable celebration of talent in front and behind the camera”

The seventh chapter of the AMVCA will also feature popular TV series including Funke Akindele’s ‘Jenifa’s Diary,’ Battleground, My Siblings & I, Ajoche, Hustle and Unbroken.
