Namaste Wahala: Nollywood-Bollywood Movie to Hit Cinemas this April

Namaste Wahala, a new Nollywood-Bollywood movie is in the works and is looking to cause a stir all around the entertainment industry in a matter of weeks.

The collaboration which will house acts from Indian and the Nigerian movie industries will have star-studded cast like Richard Mofe Damijo, Joke Silva, Ini Dima-Okojie, Ibrahim Suleiman Big Brother Naija’s Frodd, MI Abaga, Ruslaan Mumtaz, Segal Sujata, Adaora Lumina, Osas, Eneeicha, Lyk10, Imoh Eboh, Mexemania, Tience Pay and lots more.

The movie was produced by Indian filmmaker, Hamisha Daryani Ahuja and co-produced by MI Abaga who is going into movie production for the first time.

According to actress Inidima Okogie on Instagram, the mash up plot is a love story that permeates the cultures of both countries as well as various genres:

However, there are mixed feelings as to how the visuals, plots and the entire work will pan out, as Nigerian movie lovers are wondering if it will have a 3 – 4-hour length with dances, panache and the comics that Indian films are usually known for or if it will tilt more to the Nollywood industry style or better still; a complete blend. I guess we will have to wait to see the trailers and the movie proper to know how it all went down.
